Interactive Readers for Thanksgiving and Late Fall

Are you looking for ways to get into the Thanksgiving spirit without sacrificing any instructional time? Interactive Sight Word Readers are here to help!

All of my Interactive Sight Word Readers are 6-page booklets that get students reading and using sight words in a way that is engaging, fun, and on their level! Let me walk you through a popular emergent reader for the Thanksgiving season: Here is the Feast!

The cover clearly displays the title of the reader, and the featured sight word “here” is is large bubble letters for students to color and begin to visualize.

A cutting page with scrambled letters is included in the download. The word “here” is missing from each page of the book. It is the job of students to cut apart and unscramble the provided letters, and then glue them in the correct order on each page of the Sight Word Reader.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the gifts around us and express our gratitude for so many blessings. As a Catholic school teacher, I remind my students that all of the wonderful things in their life are gifts from God and we need to take the time to thank Him for all he has to offer. You can download “Thank You God” for FREE. Simply enter your email into the box below and it will be delivered right to your inbox.

I wish you a heart filled with gratitude as we prepare for Thanksgiving!

  1. I’ve been thinking about buying the bundle for my preschooler to do at home (he’s not homeschooled, but loves to learn). I also really like your Catholic resources very much (my kinder/1st grade CCD class thanks you for your rosary craft & booklet!).

Thank you so much for the resources. As a high school math teacher, I know how much time and effort can go into making resources for our students. I appreciate the quality of your work, and am glad that I can help support it by purchasing it from you (rather than you not being compensated for your hard work, as some bloggers post all of their work and do not get paid). Thanks again!

  2. Thank you for the cute freebie! I’m starting to introduce sight words to my daughter and this will be a fun one to use in the coming weeks. I also have a few of your TpT items on my wishlist; I love all your stuff!!

Hi, I'm Maria.

I’m a former kindergarten teacher turned work-from-home mom. I still love sharing ideas and resources to make teaching easier, so you can focus on what really matters in the classroom. When I’m not working on the blog, you’ll find me chasing kids around the house with a cold cup of coffee in my hand (some things never change even once you’re out of the classroom!)
