The colors alone had me at hello. Couldn’t you just stare at this photo all day?

This week my stylist was Alyssa. I’m not sure what happened to Carmen or Connie, but I was excited to see what Alyssa had selected for my big trip to Vegas for the SDE Kindergarten Teachers Conference in July.

This fix included blouses, a sweater, a casual top, and a gorgeous dress. I couldn’t wait to try on each piece.

At the top of the pile was a beautiful floral print blouse from Daniel Rainn.

The blouse was soft, flowing, and so feminine.
The colors in the floral print were simply stunning.

A navy blue cardigan was also included in my fix.
This was a great match with the floral blouse.

Initially, I tried the cardigan and blouse on with a pair of dark skinny jeans from Kensie that were included in my April fix (that have since become my favorite pair of jeans). It turned out to be a lot of navy for one outfit, so I pulled a bright blue pair of cropped pants from my closet. The were the perfect compliment to the print blouse and dark cardigan!

I love how these pants made the colors in the blouse just POP.

Although I liked the color of the navy sweater, It was a little too shapeless for my style. I like pairing a loose blouse with a traditional fitted cardigan. I found a pale green cardigan in my closet that was a perfect compliment to my dark skinny jeans with the floral blouse.

My stylist also sent a beautiful coral crochet detail blouse from Under Skies.

I love how the crochet panels make this lightweight top so feminine and the color was right up my alley. The coral shade is perfect for summer without being too bright.

This blouse was definitely a keeper.

Next up was a printed top with stud details from Pomelo.

I loved the studs and the blouse was easily paired with black pants and black accessories.

Unfortunately, the top was just a little too boxy for me.
It didn’t look like my body had any shape at all under that blouse.

The fifth and final item selected by my stylist was a deep Fit & Flare from 41Hawthorn dress in a rich indigo color.

I was so excited about this dress and I wanted it to fit perfectly. Sadly, it was a tiny bit too tight and WAY too short. This is the only photo of myself in the dress that I was comfortable sharing with you.

Hi, I'm Maria.

I’m a former kindergarten teacher turned work-from-home mom. I still love sharing ideas and resources to make teaching easier, so you can focus on what really matters in the classroom. When I’m not working on the blog, you’ll find me chasing kids around the house with a cold cup of coffee in my hand (some things never change even once you’re out of the classroom!)
