Skyping with the One and Only Debbie Clement

Have you heard of Debbie Clement? If not, get ready. She is going to be HUGE next year. She’s already huge on Pinterest and her blog, Rainbows within Reach, is loaded with great resources for teachers in early elementary classrooms. As if that wasn’t enough, Debbie is also giving the KEYNOTE at the I Teach K conference in VEGAS!

I told you she was someone really special.
a Skype classroom author visit!
Last week I had the great honor of arranging a Skype visit with Debbie Clement. It was AMAZING. I haven’t used Skype in a long time so I was a little nervous that we would have technical issues. It worked like a dream and my students were CAPTIVATED right from the very first moment. Debbie new exactly how to keep my antsy kindergarteners engaged. She even played “dress up” for them! Here you can see Debbie transformed into a giraffe outfit as she read and sang along with the book Tall Giraffe.

Sometimes she even had my students stand up, dance, and jump around.

It doesn’t get any better than this!

I just love this photo. You can see the excitement and engagement Debbie brought into my kindergarten classroom.

I know you’re probably wondering how you can get Debbie to virtually visit your own classroom. You’re in LUCK! Debbie is having a wonderful Skype giveaway on the Pre and K Sharing blog.  Trust me, this is a classroom experience that you do not want to miss!

Hi, I'm Maria.

I’m a former kindergarten teacher turned work-from-home mom. I still love sharing ideas and resources to make teaching easier, so you can focus on what really matters in the classroom. When I’m not working on the blog, you’ll find me chasing kids around the house with a cold cup of coffee in my hand (some things never change even once you’re out of the classroom!)
